Susan Gaigher

Susan Gaigher – Editor

I am an editor, author coach, and publishing consultant with 15 years' experience in the publishing industry.

Overview

Hi, I'm Susan!

I'm an accomplished copy and developmental editor with 15 years' experience in the publishing industry. I've worked with renowned publishing houses such as Blackhall Publishing, Pearson, and Oxford University Press.

These days, I help authors perfect their writing, develop their voice, and navigate the overwhelming waters of the publishing industry. Why? Because I'm passionate about storytelling and the powerful role it plays in cultivating better, more empathetic humans.

I enjoy editing a variety of genres, including non-fiction (business, personal development, memoirs, education, science) and fiction (fantasy, YA, crime, science fiction, romance). I take pride in being an astute, meticulous copy editor and an involved developmental editor – I won't hold back!

Whether you're just starting out and not quite sure what to do or have your magnum opus ready to go – don't hesitate to reach out! I'm excited to work with authors at all stages of their writing journey.

I was very pleased with my initial contact with Susan, who met my expectations on time and delivered a helpful report through the Reedsy platform. Infused with a renewed impetus, I look forward to sending her a revised manuscript in the next few weeks and receiving additional coaching to complete my finished book goal.

Susan was great and helped me get my final edit over the line. She saw minor errors that I wouldn't have noticed. You read your manuscript so often that your brain glosses over these things. Regardless, I appreciate the external help from Susan. Thank you once again!
