Shayna Sobol – Editor

I'm thoughtful and easy to work with. My job as a copy editor is to make your book better, even if it's great to start with. Let's do this!

I'm a thoughtful, versatile, and highly skilled copy editor with a breadth of work experience in a variety of subject areas. I've helped make dozens of projects shine from behind the scenes, always mindful of maintaining the author's voice, whether in a cookbook or crime novel, memoir or memorable work of fiction. I have freelanced for Random House, Hay House, Turner Publishing, and Pegasus Books, and helped a first-time author self-publish her novel for middle schoolers.

I've honed a positive communication style over the course of my career, and am told that I'm easy to work with. Clients have thanked me for my "elegant edits," my "unbelievable meticulous attention to detail," and my "commitment to excellence." I strive for consistency, clarity, and zero typos! I'm adept at following the Chicago Manual of Style, as well as any house style guide that is thrown at me for any given project. I really do love what I do, and it would be an honor to help make your work the best that it can possibly be.
