Sofia Huitron – Translator

Hello! I’m Sofia, and I’m truly passionate about connecting people across cultures through language. For me, language isn’t just a skill; it’s a bridge that brings people together, opening a whole world of understanding.

As a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, my love for language and culture has been a part of who I am since I was young. This passion led me to create my own academic path, blending anthropology and language in a unique major called Intercultural Relations.

In my work as a translator, I focus on making graphic novels engaging and relatable for young readers in both English and Spanish. I love using creative transcreation techniques to keep the original story’s spirit intact while making sure it feels culturally relevant and authentic for each audience.

Alongside translation, I’ve gained solid experience as a copy editor for books in both languages. I bring a careful eye for grammar, punctuation, and style to every project, making sure each word counts and each phrase flows naturally.

I’m also dedicated to thorough proofreading, ensuring every translation is accurate and consistent, with attention to the cultural and linguistic details that make a story come alive in its new language.
