Sharon Heller

Sharon Heller – Ghostwriter

A PhD psychologist, I am a ghostwriter and developmental editor specializing in self-help, mental health, and memoirs.

Overview

"Dr. H writes clearly and often lyrically, as well as humorously" wrote Edward Hallowell, M.D. on the cover of "Too Loud, Too Bright, Too Fast, Too Tight (HarperCollins, 2002)."

I am a developmental psychologist and well published author of popular psychology books (HarperCollins, Wiley, Macmillan). These include a book on parenting, on healing anxiety and fear, on non-psychological causes of anxiety, and on sensory processing disorder. My books have been reviewed in Time magazine, Newsday, Psychology Today, the Washington Post, and articles written about them in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and the Miami Herald among other publications.

I am especially good at organizing a book and writing it so it flows smoothly.

Recently, I have changed my focus to writing memoirs as these tend to be far more engaging than self-help books.

Sharon was very responsive, and her quality of work got me a book in less than six months. There were days and weeks I felt like it was too much. Old thinking habits on my part. However, Sharon would talk me through and motivate me to get the job done. Her words inspiring and direct, she led me through the adventure, and I have her to thank for such a successful experience. Thank you, Sharon!

Overall the service provided was great. Sharon worked with me to create terms for an agreement when it was tough to find someone else to do so. She was great with working with me on addendum if the project had to slide.

Overall, great experience with Sharon and good quality work. She approached the work efficiently, via digital communications only, but this process worked for me.

This was a very difficult book to write and Sharon allowed me to proceed at my own pace, which was greatly appreciated. Sharon was professional, listened to my vision and brought to life the words I struggled to find. Sharon is truly a one of a kind. I highly recommend her.
