Overview
My background is in journalism, where I specialize in longform magazine articles and investigations. I have worked for major publications including The New Republic, HuffPost, and The Guardian. Originally from Washington, DC, I have lived and worked in New York, Berlin, and elsewhere. I'm currently based in London.
Stories I've edited have been adapted by Netflix and featured in The Best American Travel Writing series, and have won numerous awards, including the 2019 James Beard Foundation award for investigative reporting; the 2015 Deadline Club award for science, technology, medical, or environmental reporting; a 2013 Sydney Award from the Hillman Foundation; a 2012 GLAAD Media Award; and a 2012 Maggie Award from Planned Parenthood.
I love working closely with writers to help their projects achieve their full potential, and I am happy to offer a variety of editorial services, including manuscript evaluations, developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
