Sarah Linke

Sarah Linke – Ghostwriter

Hi, I ghostwrite romance novels - bubbly or dark, sweet or sexy, chaste or... not, I've got you.

Overview

Whether it’s a tender first kiss in the very last chapter or a steamy shower handprint in the opening scene, I write it all. With over seven years of experience, 30+ completed novels, and half a dozen novellas, I excel at providing my clients with exactly the kind of love story they want to share with the world.

From funny to dark, light hearted to deeply emotional, page turning to slow burning, I believe every type of romance has a special place in the heart of a reader out there.

I can offer my services no matter where you are on the creative journey (and, believe me, it IS a journey!):

- If you’re just looking for someone to brainstorm with, I can help to flesh out your ideas, throw some different ones into the mix, or pitch something entirely new to shake things up.

- If you’ve got your idea ready to go, I can provide a detailed and comprehensive outline that includes character arcs, theme breakdowns, chapter-by-chapter summaries, and more, all tailored to your needs.

- And, of course, for those looking to dive in head first, I can draft a full novel of any length, tone, and style. (Typically I’ll send over 5k at a time to make sure you like the direction the story is going.)

In the end, that’s what I really want to do, at any stage of working with me: help your vision come to life.

My clients include Amazon, New York Times, and USA Today Bestsellers and I pride myself on long-term relationships with many of them. They return for my creative ideas, high-quality writing, and timely delivery. I’d love to add you to my list and get to work on giving the people what they want: more kisses! (Butterfly or French, you pick.)

Sarah

I've completed 10+ novels for this client and I was involved in the brainstorming and outlining process for at least half. This client publishes steamy Irish romances, most often in trilogies with occasional spin-offs. The typical word count is around 100,000 words. The tone is usually darker, centering on deep emotional wounds. Some scenes have been graphic or explicit. The setting is usually in Dublin.

Some of the types of characters I've written for this client include: sports stars, tattoo artists, billionaires, twins, motorcycle gang members, hackers, Vegas dancers, runaway teens, Americans abroad, and more.

And here are some of the tropes: billionaire boss, unexpected dad, student/teacher, age gap, fish out of water, stalker, brother's girlfriend, and dark academia.

I've completed 15+ novellas for this client, often having provided the chapter outline as well. I've also helped to edit, rewrite, or complete several projects started by a different ghostwriter. This client publishes several clean romance series, usually with 7 or more in each series. The typical word count is 40,000 words. About half of their publications are holiday themed. The style my client goes for is sweet, cute, and funny (think a Hallmark movie). The setting is usually a quaint, friendly small town.

Some of the types of characters I've written for this client include: small business owners, nannies, cops, dog rescue volunteers, and brides.

Some of the tropes I've written for this client include: city girl in the country, love at first sight, second chance love, first kiss, secret identity, and fake dating.

Feb, 2017 — Dec, 2023 (almost 7 years)

This client has been published by Penguin, Harlequin, and Random House. They also published independently and I worked with them for more than 5 years on a wide variety of projects with different genres and lengths. I mostly produced outlines while also drafting several novels. We even experimented with a romance novel told exclusively in texts.

Some of the types of characters I wrote for this client include: handy man, heiress, college students, rich prep school kids, and athletes.

Some of the tropes I wrote for this client include: reverse harem, enemies to lovers, billionaire boss, dark secrets, and mafia.
