In addition to nearly two decades of freelance editing, I also have extensive experience teaching writing. For over a decade, I’ve taught composition, literature, and creative writing courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level at multiple universities. What this experience has provided for me as an editor are the skills to work with multiple genres and expertise in helping diverse writers find and maintain their unique voices. I also served as the Associate Editor for a well-respected literary journal which provided me with the insights to help writers who are interested in submitting work to literary journals.

I earned an MFA in creative writing and a PhD in literature and creative writing, and have published two novels and two poetry chapbooks.
