Overview

A qualified freelance proofreader and professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I have over 20 years’ experience as an information professional and five years’ experience as a proofreader. I possess a diverse range of skills developed within the academic library sector where I specialised in the fields of art, design and history.

I have recently completed the Publishing Training Centre’s ‘Basic Proofreading’ course and am proficient on a wide range of computer packages, have an excellent eye for detail, and take pride in working to extremely high accuracy at all times. I am able to work quickly and accurately under pressure and possess exceptional organisational skills.

I have worked for a range of publishers including ProQuest, Pegasus, the History Press and Facet Publishing, and work on both hard copy manuscripts and electronic (using MS Word Track changes and Adobe PDF).
