Roxanne Troup – Ghostwriter

Award-winning children's author/ghostwriter with a background in education. 100+ books published! Specialties: picture books, chapter books

Overview

With a background in early childhood education, I specialize in writing picture books and early readers (including graphic-style chapter books); as well as writing for the education market where my background helps publishers and packagers create engaging books for preK-5th graders.

I've worked with both publishers and individuals (from the Big 5 to educational presses—NYT bestsellers to self-published authors) to write/ghostwrite/doctor over 100 books. As an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), I regularly mentor other writers through the publishing process and critique scores of manuscripts each year.

Due to NDA agreements, I cannot disclose every project I've worked on; however, I can say that I've ghostwritten:

• multiple pet adoption picture books from an American model/animal welfare activist

• an art therapy picture book from a noted graphic designer/online influencer

• several SEL picture books from female business owners (some of which published with Big 5 publishers)

• multiple STEM picture books with nonfiction backmatter

• two dozen fiction decodable/phonics readers (short stories for newly independent readers) for noted educational publisher; genres include: mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction, humor

• a fantasy chapter book with themes of music and self-discovery for a bestselling middle grade humor author

• two middle grade short story collections (realistic fiction) for educational publishers that included genres of: extreme sports, mystery, and family drama

• digital, interactive children’s books for multiple education apps (including ABCMouse); genres: history, fairy tale retellings

And I'd love to work with you on your story!
