Rosa Pugliese

Rosa Pugliese – Translator

Spanish translator with 20+ years' experience, and 100+ books translated! Inspirational, Christian, Non-Fiction, Religion, Biographies.

Overview

Since I’ve been in the translation business for more than 20 years, I had the privilege to translate books for several well-known authors, such as Gary Chapman, Gary Smalley, J. Oswald Sanders, Elisabeth Elliot, Ruth Graham, Tony Evans, and Elizabeth George, among others. You may go to my portfolio to take a look at some of the more than 100 books I have translated and/or edited.

As an experienced translator, the client may be sure I deliver a “ready-to-publish” translation. My translations are composed of three phases: translation, line editing, and proofreading. On the translation phase, the major emphasis is in capturing the meaning of the original text. On the line editing phase, the translation is compared to the original text to avoid possible misinterpretations, grammar and spelling mistakes. And on the proofreading phase, I go through the manuscript again, carefully checking for any other kind of inaccuracies. To achieve that on a given project, I will often partner with a colleague: one will complete the translation phase, and the other one will take care of the editing and proofreading phases.

She exceeded all my expectations both in quality of work and time to get the job done. I had multiple people read her translation of my book to Spanish language.
