Overview
I'm all about stories. I can help you tell yours.
From concept to outlining to words on the page, we will work together to bring your vision to life.
Over the past twelve years, I’ve published more than seventy contracted novels across multiple genres, as well as three mystery series with St. Martin’s Press. My books have been translated internationally, earned out, and one title was nominated for the Mary Higgins Clark Award.
Alongside my original work, I’ve worked on dozens of novels under publisher direction and guidance, carefully writing to style guidelines and in continuity series worlds. The publisher creates the world, characters, and series arc and I consistently deliver clean, publishable manuscripts. My publishers include Annie's Attic and Guideposts.
Annie's editor quote: What a wonderful book! It’s both charming and thrilling, which is not the easiest thing to pull off, though you’re a master at it. I always love how you connect past and present crimes, and this story is no exception. The pace was great, the new characters were all distinctive and interesting, and our regulars are all true to form. I loved the setting, and you depicted life on a farm as such a delightful experience (sign me up!). As usual, your plot was intricate but tightly woven and your red herrings were spot-on—and that crazy climax scene was FANTASTIC!
This book, Shepherd's Lie, is tagged below. In addition to penning your novel, I can help you develop concepts and outlines. I'm very experienced at creating fresh and original stories that hit all the right notes in the genre. (Note: Annie's and Guideposts books are also sold through a direct bookclub and were only recently added to Amazon).
Premises I've written about include: bookshops, antique shops, bakeries, flower shops, inns, veterinarians, restaurants, farms, artists, and book retreats. Settings: United States, Scotland, Italy, and England. Many of my books include a mystery from the past and I've also written historical POVs from the 1600s through World War II.
