Patricia MacDonald

Patricia MacDonald – Editor

I specialize in sports memoirs, general sports books, and sports instructional books.

Overview

My kinesiology degree gives me an ideal background for editing books about sports and the health sciences. I enjoy working on all sports books, but my first love is hockey.

Comments about my work:
'Just a quick note to say thank you so much for your excellent work. You made some excellent catches, posed insightful and tactfully phrased queries, and just generally handled things in such a thoroughly supportive and efficient way'. (senior manager of a Canadian publishing company).

'I wanted to let you know that you did a very nice job on this copyedit. I very much enjoyed working with you on this project: you independently checked facts, worked up an excellent style sheet, and went line by line through the manuscript. You flagged issues I had forgotten about when I was making my last writing of the manuscript. You are obviously talented at what you do.' (author of a biography)

'Everything looks great with the proofread! The author was grateful for your careful eye on the pages.' (production editor at a Canadian publishing company)

'Patricia, thanks for correcting my errors'. (Jeremy Roenick, retired NHL player)
