More than 25 years of experience at National Geographic Partners and McGraw-Hill Professional has prepared me well to assist self-publishing authors in the creation of professional quality non-fiction books for kids and adults. I deliver excellent quality in copy editing and proofreading. My personal interest in self-help, self-improvement, and health and wellness is reflected in my life: I have certificates in yoga and a few other healing techniques. I also love cookbooks (and cooking) and children's non-fiction on any topic. Beyond these, I have probably worked on books in most non-fiction categories over my career, so even if your category isn't one I've highlighted here, please reach out. I'd love to help you bring more knowledge to the world!
When you work with me, I will always respect and maintain your unique voice as an author. I consider my edits to be suggestions, so you'll always have the ability to accept or reject each edit I make if you like. I follow the Chicago Manual of Style and prefer Merriam-Webster's dictionary. I have plenty of samples of my editing available at your request.

NTC/Contemporary Books (later merged with McGraw-Hill)
As Production Editor, I was responsible for meeting scheduling deadlines for non-fiction books throughout the publishing process from receipt of manuscript to final files. Collaborated with authors, acquiring editors, designers, compositors, copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers to ensure quality work at each stage.
