Oren Eades – Editor

I'm an editor for a wide range of books across an array of genres—everything from #1 NYT-bestselling memoirs to WSJ-bestselling political texts, from science fiction, fantasy, and horror novels and anthologies to children’s picture books, from topical humor to self-help guides, from cookbooks to business manuals.

I started in publishing as an intern and, after moving to New York City, worked my way up to become a copyeditor, a proofreader, a fact-checker, an editorial assistant, an assistant editor, and eventually a full editor for books across several imprints of Skyhorse Publishing, where I also managed editorial and publicity duties for the sci-fi/fantasy/horror imprints Night Shade Books and Talos Press. Today, I put that experience to use as a full-time freelance editor.

I can help with every part of a book's creation, from the writing process itself through edits, submissions, and publication. Whether you need big-picture developmental and structural edits or a word-by-word polish focusing on grammar and technique or anything in between, I'll work with you to answer any questions you may have and to make your manuscript the absolute best it can be.

In the end, though, my goal with every edit is not just to help you create a great manuscript, but to help you learn, grow, and improve as a writer, both now and in the future.
