Nora Aparicio – Translator

Nice to meet you!

I'm Nora, and I'm a freelance literary translator and proofreader with several translated novels behind me, both in English and French, from different genres, although fantasy books are my specialization, as well as transcreation.

Due to my deep love for literature and my interest not only in contemporary fiction and fantasy, but also in classical novels, I did my end-of-degree project and my master's degree final project about the 18th-century English novelist Eliza Haywood. I believe my wide range of interests when it comes to literature makes me a versatile professional, capable of adapting to multiple registers no matter the content of the novel itself.

As a book lover, I've also had the opportunity, until very recently, of running a contemporary literature reading club in a bookstore in Madrid. I also regularly collaborate with an independent children's publishing house as a proofreader, but I've also translated a book for them that will be published this year, which has made me discover my passion for children's literature.

When I'm not translating, I still read a lot and share my reviews of novels that have caught my eye on my Instagram professional page.
