I acquired and edited books and assisted others in editing books. My book acquisitions included #1 New York Times bestselling Max, and A Pig in a Wig series . I evaluated picture book and middle-grade chapter book submissions and wrote reader reports, as well as jacket and flap copy and selling copy, including SEO material. Additionally, I participated in editorial and acquisition meetings and contributed to the publishing process by researching and developing ideas. I continuously maintained communication with authors, agents, and illustrators throughout the entire book publishing process. I also participated in weekly meetings with senior editorial, marketing, and design staff to develop strategic ways to position products and coordinate the publication process from manuscript to book.

As editorial assistant, I began acquiring picture books and middle-grade chapter books as well as evaluated picture book and middle-grade chapter book submissions.
