I also have extensive specialist experience in arts writing and criticism, and have worked on publications and catalogues for major arts institutions like the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum in New York and Whitechapel Gallery in London, as well as writing text for major international touring art exhibitions.
I have a close eye for detail, but also really enjoy developing text through structure and style in order to make it as strong as possible.

Bloomsbury Publishing
- Responsible for commissioning approx. 28 titles per year across the African Studies, Latin American Studies, and Development & Economics lists, for which I was sole editor.
- Working successfully with authors and partner organisations to develop books from proposal stage all the way through to finished product. Managing academic peer review, production scheduling, giving editorial input to authors, and working collaboratively with in-house sales and marketing teams.
- Commissioning a broad variety of product types including academic monographs and textbooks, as well as trade titles with a wider appeal.
Oberon Books
- Responsible for commissioning and editing 10-15 playtexts per year, working closely with the UK and US’s top playwrights, producers, and theatres.
-Managing ongoing relationships with established writers, new talent, and agents.
- Working collaboratively to very tight deadlines with authors, focusing on details like copyediting and bespoke typesetting.
