Overview
For the past ten years, I have worked professionally as an Illustrator and Comic artist, both as a freelancer and full-time employee.
As a full-time employee, I worked for animation and post-production studios. My primary duties were working with briefs, scripts, clients, and art directors to create illustrations, storyboards, and animations based on client needs. The environments were collaborative, and I enjoyed meeting the client's expectations and doing great work.
In my freelance career. I have worked for various clients and publications. I created the art for a 120-page graphic novel, had a weekly comic strip in an independent newspaper, and created illustrations for small and large companies.
I hope to get the opportunity to work with writers and help tell an incredible story. I love collaborating, and I'm very familiar with creating milestones and timelines to complete a project on time. I love stories that are sincere and honest. If it helps, I lean more towards "Winnie the Pooh" than "Star Trek." My process usually starts by reading and understanding the story; then, I create a rough storyboard or illustration that I would share and adjust accordingly. Once the rough is approved, I move to a clean-up drawing, ink, and finally, color, working with you the entire way so you feel as good about the art as I do.
A bit about me outside of work: I am an avid sketchbook keeper. If I'm not drawing in my sketchbook, you might find me working in the garden or trying to befriend a bird or two.
