Maria Andrade

Maria Andrade – Editor

Latina editor/writing coach for nonfiction, memoirs, and fiction. Editorial assessment, developmental and copy editing. English/Spanish.

Overview

I am a writer and editor, with over twenty years of experience in helping others write powerful and convincing texts. I am fluent in both English and Spanish (professionally educated in both), and I am available to help with all aspects of writing and editing in both languages. I have experience in fiction, memoirs, education, academic publishing, nonfiction, self help, and journalism.

I can provide an editorial assessment of your manuscript and help you with the developmental editing process of your manuscript. I can also coach you through the writing process, and help you get your ideas on paper.

As someone who has been teaching writing at the college level for twenty-two years, and who is also a published creative and academic writer, I know how to make a text more impactful, persuasive, coherent, and precise. I can tailor your text to a specific audience and can help you get a message across in the most effective way.

Below is a sample of books I have edited for academic presses, and of journals for which I have been editor.

I donate 1% of my earnings to the Stripe Climate initiative.
