Overview
I draw from my decade-plus of editorial experience on every project. Currently, I work for a mental health publisher, managing the editorial calendar and jumping in to edit projects when needed. I previously served as editor, so my main focus was editing both mono and children's books. It may sound nerdy, but this is my favourite part of my job – and that's why I'm hoping to set up a side business where I edit as a freelancer!
I am a strong corrective copyeditor and proofreader. I can work in both British and American English (grew up in the US, but studied and work now in the UK). I am also very skilled at Americanis(z)ing text – I have already done some freelance work in this area, too!
The most important thing about my job is maintaining the author's voice. Editing makes a book stronger, but it shouldn't take away from the personality or person behind it! I would love to work on your project, streamlining it and perfecting the grammar, but keeping it very much your own.

Work experience
Trigger Publishing
I manage 10+ titles per season (spring-summer and autumn-winter) through editorial and production. For our most important titles, I jump in and copyedit or proofread; for all, I perform quality checks to ensure the books are of the highest possible quality.
Trigger Publishing and Cherish Editions
I copyedited or proofread all of Cherish Editions' self-published titles, and then, when we reacquired Trigger Publishing, I worked on those books, too. This job really helped me hone my editorial skills!
