I have worked for the past two years at a literary agency in Austin, Texas, as an editor and writer. I have provided editorial assistance within Chicago Manual of Style guidelines such as substantive editing, copyediting, line editing, proofing, and written the back cover copy for many professionally published books. I mainly have experience working with non-fiction manuscripts, from business books to entertainment and sports memoirs to Christian literature/self-help. I have also written over 50 book proposals that have received 5 or 6-figure advances from the publishing houses of Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster. Prior to my current job, I worked as Editor and Chief of a newspaper, reporting, writing, and editing in AP Style. I am passionate about sharing stories that have the ability to make an impact on lives for the better and will do a thorough job to get any manuscript to where it needs to be for success.
