I take pride in helping authors communicate their ideas effectively via developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading. I have worked across genres -- from literary fiction to biography, from romance novels to sci-fi/fantasy, I have the skills to do a simple proofread or help you fully finesse your writing.

Working in foreign rights at DeFiore & Company Literary Management gave me invaluable experience in understanding marketplace trends around the world. I worked closely with authors and their agents to pitch a wide range of titles for international publication with great success. I have been working with writers throughout my career, beginning as a student tutor at Swarthmore College's Writing Center and continuing on to freelance proofreading and editing for indie presses and Big 5 publishers. Even while living in Madrid I incorporated my talents into daily life, working with a local museum to translate their Spanish guide materials to English.

I always enjoy creating a dialogue with each writer so that we both understand the goal(s) and what is at stake -- editing is a conversation as much as it is about technical skill.
