Madalina Florescu - Translator

I have been working as a translator and subtitler from English into French since 2018, drawing on my experience as an avid reader of novels, short stories, essays and ethnographies - often in translation- and as a keen listener to others' stories told in various languages and cultural settings.

So far I have collaborated with Saga Egmont as a French translator and proofreader, and I am interested in collaborating with other authors to help them bring their work to life for a francophone readership. As a student of Anthropology I have learned to be extremely sensitive to context and cultural differences and try to suggest the best possible solutions for translation, while keeping a constant dialogue with the author.
