Overview

I provide indexing to academic and trade publications. I have particular knowledge in art/video studies, critical theory and philosophy, music, queer theory, and theology. I'm particularly interested in indexing cookbooks: I took the American Society of Indexing's course in culinary indexing to learn more about this area of expertise.

In my collaboration with you, you'll send me the PDF proofs to be indexed from. Page numbers should be finalized at this point. I'll prepare a draft index file and then send it to you for any small changes or revisions you might request. I'm happy to accommodate most requests, provided they're in line with standard best practices for indexing. Then, I'll send you a final index to use in your book or submit to your publisher.

My clients have published with major university presses (Duke University Press, SUNY Press, University of Toronto Press) and I've worked directly for significant trade publishers (Counterpoint, Penguin-Random House).
