Mark Hussey – Editor

I am an attentive and careful copy editor, and never miss a deadline. I offer proofreading, copy editing, editorial polishing, and indexing for serious nonfiction (including memoir) or reference works. I've worked with authors on all kinds of projects and in a variety of fields. I'm good at helping writers improve their language while preserving their individual voices.

I taught literature and writing for nearly forty years at a private 4-year university in New York City, and also ran a small university press for over twenty-five years. I have worked as editor or editorial consultant for trade as well as university presses on serious nonfiction and literary texts. Although no longer teaching, I continue to publish my own work. I'm familiar with CMOS and MLA.
