My work centers on helping authors transform strong ideas and lived experiences into compelling books. As a former editor with McGraw-Hill and a publishing consultant with more than 15 years of experience, I’ve worked across memoir, education, science, travel, nature, and expert-driven nonfiction projects, helping authors strengthen structure, refine voice, and create manuscripts that connect with readers.

I bring a broad perspective to editing shaped by my work as a professor, writer, editor, and publishing consultant. I’ve edited educational materials, memoirs, travel narratives, career books, and practical nonfiction, and I particularly enjoy projects where storytelling and expertise intersect.

My editing approach balances structure with voice. Whether I’m working on a memoir about grief and identity, an education book for teachers, a travel narrative, or a practical guide written by a subject-matter expert, I focus on preserving what makes the manuscript uniquely yours while strengthening clarity, flow, and reader engagement.

Many of my clients are first-time authors, and I enjoy helping them navigate not just the editing process, but the larger journey toward publication. Through my publishing consulting work with Odyssa Media, I also support authors with self-publishing strategy, production guidance, and bringing books successfully into the world.

I believe good editing should feel collaborative. My goal is never to rewrite your book into my voice. My goal is to help your best work emerge.
