Loredana Serratore – Translator

Experienced and passionate children's book translator, I've worked on books for all ages: picture books, early readers, chapter books, middle grade, YA for major Italian publishing houses (Mondadori, Piemme Il Battello a Vapore, Salani, HarperCollins Italia). Among the authors I translated are Nick Sharratt, Tor Seidler, Pam Muñoz Ryan, Sheila Burnford.

I keep abreast of the latest trends both in the international and the Italian children's book publishing market by reading specialized magazines, and never miss the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the most important event in the children’s publishing industry.

I also love crime fiction, so it was a privilege and (oh) so much fun to translate four of Robert Galbraith's bestsellers (in team with three colleagues).
