I was a law school textbook editor at LexisNexis from 2000-2006 at which time I was promoted to the Acquisitions Editor position for the Law School Publishing division.
After I resigned from LexisNexis, I took a job as the Director of Ethics & Compliance at LogistiCare Solutions. As Director of E&C, I was responsible for drafting and reviewing company-wide compliance policies and documents.

As Director of Compliance for LogistiCare Solutions, I assisted the Chief Compliance Officer in managing the Company's Ethics and Compliance Program, ensuring the Company promoted an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law and the Company's client contracts by Company employees and subcontractors. I assisted in creating, implementing, and maintaining internal controls to manage risk and cultivate an ethical and compliant work environment. I was responsible for managing the Company's compliance education, across multiple locations, and developing consistent, scalable processes for the identification, detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraud, waste, and abuse,
and managing the Company's third party risk mitigation activities.
Area of expertise and accomplishments include:
-Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Corporate compliance Program modeled on Federal Sentencing Guidelines and State and industry requirements and standards including using Company policy and procedures to develop education programs designed to inform about company standards and to serve as job tools
-Working with cross functional teams on investigations of allegations of fraud, waste and abuse
-Managing a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) leadership team, across multiple locations, and developing consistent,
scalable processes for the identification, detection, prevention, and mitigation of fraud, waste, and abuse. I lead the SIU team in unifying investigation procedures across all regions and was instrumental in the creation of the SIU Workforce Manual
-Leading the effort to migrate training and compliance attestations to electronic distribution and collection partnering with DocuSign and Salesforce
-Creating audit tools to prevent and detect instances of non-compliance with standards as well as remedial education programs to address deficiencies
-Managing third party risk mitigation activities, including the whistleblower hotline and subcontractor program integrity and HIPAA compliance program
-Assisting with the creation, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls to manage risk and cultivate an
