Overview
I’m currently working as a Lead Graphic Designer for Twig Education, an educational media company based in Glasgow. I work on a variety of eye-catching assets, creating layouts, covers, illustrations and informational posters. My work requires that I take the strongest creative approach for each individual asset in order to spark the interest of students while maintaining visual consistency across Twig products. I’m currently leading design development for a new Maths print product but will pivot as necessary to other projects in addition to updating our legacy materials.
In my free time I enjoy illustrating comics and have also produced a self-published childrens’ book, I Don’t Feel Christmassy Yet. I’m really interested in visual storytelling and draw a lot of inspiration from film and television when working out the pacing and panel compositions for particular scenes. I spent much of lockdown illustrating and publishing the graphic novel Smithers & Wing, developing a visual identity for the comic and designing a variety of marketing materials for our Kickstarter campaign, including social media graphics and a promotional print styled to resemble the artwork for a pulp gothic romance novel.
