Overview

"Working with Katie was an absolute dream. She was super accommodating, meticulous and thorough. My manuscript owes its life to her. She spotted the subtlest of major flaws in the plot. The attention she pays to her work convinced me I was in good hands. I'll definitely use her services again. Can't recommend Katie highly enough."

-- Greg Moriarty, author of Scot Free

I love working with authors and supporting them on their journey to publication. My clients thank me for my calmness and good humour, as well as my meticulous attention to detail. I offer development editing, copyediting and proofreading services.

I have over a decade's experience editing everything from textbooks and novels to government reports, academic texts, websites and more.

Most of my experience lies in non-fiction but I also love working on fiction titles. Recent fiction projects include the thriller Scot Free by Greg Moriarty and the satirical dystopia The Org by Kamili Yon.

Before going freelance, I honed my skills as a development editor at Pearson and an editor at Plain English Foundation. I have a Masters degree in Publishing from The University of Sydney.
