Overview
A book is more than a collection of words. When done right, it's a powerful beacon that shines your ideas out into the world and draws the audience you want to reach.
That belief has driven every role I've held across more than 20 years in publishing. From the Modern Language Association and Barnes & Noble to years of freelance editing for Kirkus Reviews, I've spent my career learning what separates a good manuscript from a truly powerful one.
I specialize in developmental and copy editing for nonfiction; specifically science, psychology, and business books that explore what it means to be human: our relationship with the natural world, with each other, and with ourselves. These are the books I believe matter most right now, and they're the ones I bring my deepest attention to.
Every author I work with gets my full focus—not just on the words on the page, but on the ideas behind them. My job isn't to rewrite your book; it's to help you say what you already mean as clearly and powerfully as possible.
When you work with me, you get more than a marked-up manuscript. Every edit comes with in-line comments explaining my thinking, plus a detailed editorial letter covering the big picture: what's working, what could be stronger, and concrete suggestions for taking your book to the next level. It's feedback designed not just to improve the manuscript, but to make you a better author.
I do not use AI in my work.
