Overview
My editing journey began in 2013 while I was a full-time clinical pharmacist. In 2021, I left my pharmacy career behind for full-time editing, and I haven't looked back! My ongoing training includes continuing education from EFA and ACES, annual editors' conferences, and many hours poring over the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS), the Merriam-Webster dictionary, and other reference materials.
I offer line and copy editing services in romance, paranormal, fantasy, thriller, and other fiction genres. Many of my indie clients have made the USA Today and New York Times Bestsellers lists; some have even hit number one overall on Amazon.
I enjoy all levels of spice, offer competitive turnaround times, and can work within tight timelines. You can also expect prompt communication from me and a polished manuscript without changing your voice. My goal is to develop lasting relationships with my authors, and I have worked with many of my clients for five years or more. I offer two passes with author review after the first read. I use Word Track Changes to make the suggestions and provide a final review of any tracked changes after the second read. Some authors will use my second pass as a proofread, but I recommend at least two sets of eyes on any manuscript during the editing process. My preferred style guide is CMOS, and I use the Merriam-Webster dictionary (US). I include fact-checking and can help with medical scenarios.
I usually book 4-6 months out but will sometimes have openings sooner. It doesn't hurt to ask!
