Overview
I lead a range of projects in editorial and book design, branding/identity and art direction. As the former creative director of Martha Stewart Living magazine I honed the skills of visual storytelling, content creation and collaboration.
I love the book process and I put as much care into my craft as possible. I am a very graphic, expressive, visual designer often creating the visual world first as a jumping off point with my clients. Next is typographic research where I go very deep and place a strong importance on proper font usage and appropriate cultural references.
I have been recognized by the Type Directors Club, the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), 50 Books/50 Covers (AIGA) and the Art Directors Club and have served as a judge and twice Magazine of the Year nominee for the Society for Publication Designers (SPD).
Clients include Remodelista, The New Yorker, Bon Appétit, Phaidon, Rachel Comey, Artisan, Abrams, Clarkson Potter, Penguin Random House and Knopf.

Work experience
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia
As Creative Director of Living, Jennifer led and inspired creative teams to develop innovative design solutions, from broad concept development through implementation; oversaw all art direction, design and production of magazine; managed budget for art direction, design and production with the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Photography Director. She produced and on set art directed cross core features (food, home, craft and garden), Martha’s portraiture and produced the monthly covers working closely with founder Martha Stewart.
Self-employed
The focus of my work is brand strategy for cultural and commercial clients who value the power of design. We identify and clarify core brand values and combine creativity, craft, and technology to create compelling experiences. I develop meaningful connections with brand leaders and align every step of the process with our creative partnerships.
