Jan, 2010 — Present
I offer art direction, production, design, and publishing services. My services include illustration, editorial design, custom typography and typesetting, publication design, and project management. I've been doing art direction and publication design for over 15 years. I cut my teeth in design studios in NYC, freelancing for publishing houses and went on to become a staff designer for Penguin books in 2006. In 2014 I earned my MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College. I've managed portfolios of printed publications and have worked with publishing, arts, and academic clients. From 2013–2016 I was the sole designer and print production manager at The Los Angeles Review of Books. My skills include: expert Adobe Creative Suite, print production management, content and project management skills, photo / video production, art direction, and art production. Much of my work is in collaboration with social justice, small press, and publishing projects.
