I’m a book designer with over 20 years of experience. I have designed illustrated books for Dorling Kindersley, Pearson and many independent authors.
I enjoy working with authors to find the best book design solutions for them. The portfolio below shows a selection of my work on Reedsy and beyond, including the type of illustrations and infographics I can do. Always up for a challenge, though.
I can add functional features to your book by styling headlines, content pages, chapter openers, pull quotes, sidebars, tables, bullet points, fill in questionnaires, navigational icons and graphics.
If you are new to independent publishing, I will guide you through the process of getting your book print ready for publishers like Amazon.
I usually start a new book project with an initial video call, where we both get a chance to ask questions. I read your book and let those ideas sprout.
I then go ahead and design a couple of typical sample chapters from your manuscript according to your design wishes, like a template. We work together to develop the best design for you. When you are happy with the template, I will format the rest of your book in the same style.
If you are putting a request together, it would be great if you could include a typical sample chapter from your manuscript. If you need any visuals (infographics, fill-in forms, tables, etc.), please kindly mention them in your request so I can see what kind of work is involved and I can quote accurately.
Also, if you’d like a cover design, please include a couple of favoured book covers (screen grabs or thumbnails) you’ve come across. I will then have a better idea of what you are after. Thanks.
