Overview
I'm a graphic designer of book interiors and covers with more than 30 years experience working for self-published authors, independent publishers, and major publishers, including McGraw-Hill, Oxford University Press, Thieme, and Penguin. Over this period I have worked on books in all genres and for all levels.
I have a unique and practical understanding of the publishing process that allows me to help authors plan their books for success whether they haven’t yet started writing or at any other point in the editorial process. Having worked as an in-house consultant for Courier Corporation (at the time the nation’s seventh largest book printer), I have top-notch skills in book production and manufacturing, and that allows me to design books that effortlessly sail through the printing process.
For self-published authors I design novels, memoirs, self-help books, and more. For publishers I design books on business, religion and spirituality, and educational works from K-12 to middle school reference series to post-graduate medical sub-specialty textbooks. Harrison’s ‘Principles of Internal Medicine’, published by McGraw-Hill, is the world’s most widely used medical textbook, and I completely redesigned the 17th edition, and over a 15-year period, I designed two subsequent editions. This represents the longstanding relationships I forge with my clients.
