Gary Thompson – Designer

I am a graphic designer and creative image manipulator. I have worked in the design industry (primarily publishing and corporate clients) for over 20 years, including 12 years on the Scientific, Technical & Medical design roster for John Wiley & Sons until re-location of the department to the Far East. (I also do a little bit of degree level teaching in design which keeps me fresh and questioning!) My specific strengths – aside from conceptual input on briefs, of course – include image researching, image compositing, typography and colourways. I like to think I bring an inventive, yet analytical approach to every project I take on. The majority of my commissions have required high level skills combining both design and image components and I have had the good fortune to establish productive, long term relationships with many happy clients through my work.
