Overview
My love for books started first a reader and then as an illustrator, and that's why this is the field I put all my energy in. I work for both Italian and US publishers, such as Penguin, Simon and Schuster and Sourcebooks, to name a few. My illustrations are usually focused on human characters and I love to design very clear and iconic compositions, that works well on books with a strong and memorable main character.

Work experience
Self-employed
I started working part-time as a freelance illustrator more than 10 years ago, in 2008 I illustrated my first book cover for a major publisher in Italy (Mondadori). It slowly became a steadier job, and now it's my full-time profession.
While I focus mostly on book covers, I also worked as a retoucher for advertising, I illustrated exercise books for educational publishers and I recently painted 50 portraits of historical figures for the internal illustrations of a book published by Harper Collins.
