Overview
**My experience**
I am a London-based literary translator specialised in non-fiction. I translated from English to Italian more than 10 non-fiction books, the majority of them about art & art theory. Some of the authors I translated include Pulitzer Prize winner Jerry Saltz, Whitney Chadwick, David Levi Strauss, Maja and Reuben Fowkes, Raphael Rubinstein and Massimiliano Gioni.
My main area of expertise is art, but I am keen to expand my collaborations to other non-fiction genres, such as literature, history, queer and gender studies, memoir, travel literature and environmental studies.
Being an avid fiction reader myself, I am also very keen to explore fiction translation. I would love to work closely with emerging novelists and authors (especially queer writers).
My wider experience in publishing include editing and writing too. As an editor, I have been working for established and independent art publishers such as Rizzoli New York, Lenz Press and Johan and Levi.
As a writer, I have contributed to magazines such as The Art Newspaper, Il Giornale dell'Arte, Artforum and Art in America.
**Our collaboration**
I enjoy working closely with authors and discuss potential translation choices (for example, Italian is a very gendered language and we can agree on ways of making the language more gender inclusive, if required).
Working on multiple projects at the same time requires me to be very organised. Transparency on deadlines and how to meet the client's expectations is key. If you are interested to collaborate, please send along the manuscript and we can discuss fee, deadline and potential additional interventions on the translation.
I work as an editor too, so I can provide a fully proofread Italian translation.
