Overview
I have translated, from English into Spanish, more books that I can remember. I am from Argentina but I live in Spain, so I am familiar with different modes of the Spanish language. I also write: my first novel, Muñeca Maldita, (the only published one) won two literary prizes and I have recently won another literary prize for a short story. Finally, I am a book editor and publisher. This means that my knowledge of the target language (Spanish) is of the utmost quality and I can make your book more attractive for Spanish-speaking readers. Also, my publishing knowledge makes me understand better what Spanish readers might look for in books. While I will not edit your work nor change your style, I will provide you with a clear, well-researched, readable and proficient translation.
For me, communication with the author if of the utmost importance, a principle I enforced with all the publishing houses I worked for (provided the author was alive and available). I have translated very commercial fiction and non-fiction and also literary works of art by Nobel prizes (Saul Bellow, John M. Coetzee). My idea of a perfect translation is that it is present but invisible.
