Overview

For the past seven years, I’ve originated and project-managed a range of titles from memoirs to smart thinking books and books about videogames, architecture, cultural history, design, music and more — taking ideas from early research through to finished publication. I’m highly experienced in shaping concepts, building clear structures, and working closely with authors, curators, and designers, as well as supporting production, sales, marketing and publicity.

I’ve helped build a publishing imprint from the ground up with a small team, managing editorial assets, imagery and copy across campaigns, social media, websites and internal use. I’m also an author, having written New Psychedelia (2021) and After Dark (2022). I produced and reviewed over 2,500 texts across multiple genres to help train and refine LLMs, bringing a strong focus on accuracy, nuance, and language sensitivity. I was the sole point of contact for all book and catalogue publishing operations, coordinating closely with authors, editors, designers, and our co-publisher, MIT Press, to keep production on schedule. Alongside managing budgets, contracts, rights, and stock systems, I maintained editorial schedules, oversaw royalties and sales reporting, and supervised the Shopify store, catalogue marketing, and social media assets.

As one of small team running this imprint, I created and commissioned a series of Illustrated Lyric books and oversaw each publishing programme from concept to delivery, with a strong focus on commercial viability. I managed contracts, budgets, and licensing for artist-led commissions, and coordinated editorial, design, and marketing workflows – working closely with authors, artists, designers, and curators to deliver projects on time.

I managed the publishing pipeline for 20+ projects, including smart thinking and music titles, supporting everything from structure, copywriting and editing to rights clearance and metadata. I worked closely with sales, distribution, and PR teams on launches and promotions, and I also drafted promotional copy while keeping author–editor communication running smoothly.
