Overview
Hi, I’m Erin. I'm a storytelling expert, writing coach and editor with more than three decades’ experience. I specialise in memoir, business books, academic monographs and ghostwriting projects. I’ve worked with first-time authors and seasoned professionals alike - from CEOs to founders to experts - helping turn complex ideas into engaging, well-structured and compelling manuscripts. I bring a journalist’s eye to every draft and a deep knowledge of different subject matters, language, audience and story. I’ve also managed end-to-end publication projects, including developmental, structural, copyedit and final proofread, so I understand the full arc of what it takes to bring a book to life.
How I work: I’m collaborative, practical and invested in the success of each project. I believe good writing is a craft - built sentence by sentence - and my role is to help you find an authentic voice and a strong narrative spine. I usually begin with a manuscript appraisal, which acts as a diagnostic tool so we know whether your project will benefit from structural editing, copyediting or proofreading. I also offer development editing and writing coaching. Every project begins with a discussion about your goals, audience and why this book matters. Along the way, I’ll challenge you, support you, and make sure that you your work moves from draft to done.
