Edward Pearce – Editor

Editor and proofreader with ten years' experience in publishing across a wide range of books and a degree in English literature.

Overview

Hello, I'm Edward and I'm an editor, aka Ed-the-ed

I'd love to work with you to make your writing better, whether you want developmental advice or a close copy-edit, some verbal flair or a forensic proofread.

For the last nine years I have worked for a large independent non-fiction publisher specializing in visual culture: from art and architecture through fashion and history to design and photography, with a dash of cultural criticism and religion along the way. In format they range from highly designed illustrated volumes to trade paperbacks with mass-market appeal; I work closely with designers and production controllers, so can offer advice on these aspects if you are taking a non-traditional publishing route.

In my own time I read a wide range of narrative writing: mostly literary fiction, thrillers, historical fiction and memoir, with the odd biography. I'm also mad about sport, on the page and pitch alike.

Do get in touch to chat about your project and discuss what I can do for you.
