Eli Diner

Eli Diner – Editor

Thoughtful, meticulous, and versatile editor with more than a decade's experience in content and copy editing — and everything in-between.

Overview

I am an editor with more a decade of experience in print and online media. My career has seen me at the helm of arts and culture magazines, editing book manuscripts, copyediting, proofing, indexing, and more. I have scrupulous eye and understanding of what makes clear and compelling writing. Whether it’s a birds-eye view of storytelling and structure, or the sentence-level nitty-gritty of grammar, spelling, and word choice, I want to help bring out the best in your manuscript.

For five years I served as senior editor of Flash Art, a leading International magazine of contemporary art and culture, and subsequently as interim executive editor at Cultured, a magazine devoted to entertainment, design, fashion, and art. I have extensive experience as a freelance book editor, working closely with authors on all facets and stages in the preparation of their manuscripts.

Any nonfiction topic is of interest to me, and I have a particularly strong background in biography, history, art, and entertainment. I have experience working with. Non-native writers of English and a certification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

As a writer myself, I know how valuable a good editor can be, and I know what that responsibility means. I want to know what you want from your book — and we can bring it to life.
