Overview
I'm a CIEP-trained copyeditor with over ten years' experience helping clients communicate clearly and effectively.
I began my editing career in 2015 after completing my training with the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (now the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) and setting up my own copyediting business.
Since then, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects for major French institutions (including the CNRS, Sciences Po, INRAP, INALCO) as well as international organisations worldwide (including the University of Michigan and the University of Helsinki).
My editing work covers everything from non-fiction and academic books to journal articles and press releases. It’s a diverse mix, and has helped me develop a strong sense of how to tailor messages to different audiences, whether academic, professional or public-facing.
Before becoming an editor, I worked as a field archaeologist for Durham University’s commercial unit (ASDU), in museum education and the civil service. This varied background means I'm just as comfortable editing content on policy as I am on pots, people and painting.
I look forward to hearing from you!
