David Boulting

David Boulting – Editor

I'm a writer, copy-editor and proofreader specialising in art, heritage and history, with 17 years' experience as a publishing professional.

Overview

With nearly two decades' experience of working in non-fiction book and magazine publishing in the UK, I originally trained as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages. After five years teaching English and editing for a translation agency overseas, I returned to the UK to teach university undergraduates, gaining a humanities PhD at the same time.

This varied background in education, postgraduate research (masters and doctoral) and in publishing - as an author as well as an editor - gives me a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise that I can bring to bear on your text. I love working together with writers, whatever their level of experience, listening carefully to their specific needs and expectations and collaborating with them to achieve the best possible end result.
