Daniel Myers

Daniel Myers – Editor

I am a freelance developmental editor and manuscript assessor with more than 25 years experience in fiction and narrative nonfiction.

Overview

Let me help you make your manuscript the best it can be. I have over 25 years of experience as a developmental editor, manuscript assessor, mentor, creative writing teacher and author. Aside from my experience as an editor, I have published two novels, plus numerous essays, articles, and short stories. I've also worked as a literary agent, ghostwriter, and publisher, so I know the business. Many of my clients have gone on to publication, some are award-winning bestsellers.

When we work together, we work as a team to make your work shine. My feedback is always straightforward and honest, but never mean! It will always be specific to your manuscript and will offer suggestions and guidance on how to bring out the best in your writing. If your stuck or your manuscript needs more extensive work, we can brainstorm ideas and fix whatever needs fixing.

I work in most genre of fiction and narrative nonfiction, and have been most successful in crime fiction, thrillers, sci-fi/fantasy, historical fiction and general adult fiction.

He got what I was going for symbolically, and it's embarrassing, but he saw conn...

I really enjoyed working with Dan. He is kind, thorough, and very professional. He respects your voice and ideas while also pointing out inconsistencies and ways to improve the book. Most importantly, he has a genuine interest in seeing the book published and succeed. Highly recommended!
