Overview
Note: If an email brought you to this page, it was not from me. I do not cold-pitch authors. There is a known AI-automated scam impersonating some Reedsy freelancers. If you are willing to message me here and attach the email you received, I will report it to all the necessary authorities.
Those unfortunate details aside...
As a publishing coach who has walked many authors through their publication journey, I create award-winning book launches through strategic campaigns that connect authors with their audiences. When we work together, I will read your book, assess your platform, complete a metadata review to strengthen your online positioning, deep-dive into your target audience's felt needs, analyze 1-3 competitors, and then deliver a comprehensive marketing plan. For self-pub authors, I can help you set up your KDP account, launch your product page, and guide you through marketing opportunities that produce sales. For traditionally published authors, I can assist with manuscript review, finding a literary agent, platform development, strategic marketing planning, and coaching you through the process to navigate roadblocks and common challenges.
Looking for a marketing strategy? Here's what I deliver in all strategy campaigns:
-An exercise to dig deep into your target audience to not just understand WHO they are but WHY they are buying your book. This is foundational to developing accurate strategies and copy later in the campaign.
-A full marketing plan, delivered weekly, where each week focuses on a specific area (email, social, metadata, etc). The strategies explored are curated specifically for your book and audience.
-Each week, you will receive a video tutorial, a PDF explaining the strategy, and any additional resources needed to start implementing the strategy right away. For example, if we focus on email strategy, I will brainstorm lead magnet options and then write, edit, and design your chosen lead magnet from start to finish.
-Throughout the collaboration, I will provide links for recommended resources and websites that you can use to implement your marketing plan. What's the best email program? Social media scheduler? Website host? I will provide links to any resources you might need.
-Any additional anticipated costs, such as purchasing an editorial review, will be openly communicated, so you can plan your budget accordingly.
Additional services: Need more than strategy? I can also help with:

The Mindful Marriage
Working with four authors who all contributed to this book, we created a 70-page workbook that coordinated with the book, a launch team to gather early reviews, and an online assessment to help readers understand their reaction style (the opposite of a love language, your reaction style tells you how you perceive and handle conflict in relationships.) RESULTS: The 50-member launch team and pre-order incentives have gathered more than 1,500 new, unique customer email addresses.
When You Find a Hope
Allie Millington is a New York Times bestseller author of the middle grade novel, Olivetti, and I got to work with her on her debut picture book When You Find a Hope. Bookstore owners and librarians already know and love Allie from her previous book, but we wanted to showcase how a picture book event might be different. To accomplish that, we created a free event kit where the first 100 stores to sign up got 2 free book balloons, activity pages, a free copy of the book, and a few other merch pieces to help advertise and execute a great in-store children's event. RESULTS: With an eblast ad in Publishers Weekly, we "sold out" of event kits in less than two hours and gained more than 250 new bookstore contacts for additional follow-up marketing and book placement.
Your Pain Has a Name
I worked with licensed therapist Monica DiCristina to develop and launch a 6-module course as a pre-order offer for her first book Your Pain Has a Name. The course included videos and a downloadable workbook. We also produced cell phone lock screens for Monica's current social audience, plus a number of reels to continue to grow her Instagram channel. RESULTS: To date, the book launch efforts have earned more than 20 Amazon reviews, 8 podcast interviews, and a course that can be relaunched for continued book promotion in months and years to come.
Rescue at the Reef
This miraculous memoir tells the story of a young boy surviving a shark attack and inspiring everyone around him through faith and perseverance. For this campaign, we launched a pre-order campaign that gave customers early access to the first 4 chapters of the book, a 5-day devotional based on the book, and a downloadable book club guide. We also pursued major media and influencer support. RESULTS: The amazing 100+ launch team members and amazing early awareness earned an invitation and feature on ABC's Good Morning America.
This Changes Everything
Tyler Merritt is a national bestselling author of I Take My Coffee Black, A Door Made for Me, and This Changes Everything. For this campaign, we tapped into his amazing Instagram community, built a launch team, coordinated a bookstore tour, advertised the book on the cover of Publishers Weekly magazine, printed merchandising, and ran a pre-order campaign around the Christmas holidays where pre-order customers got a video greeting, a Christmas card, and a merch discount code from Tyler. RESULTS: We successfully recruited more than 300 members to the launch team whose efforts created more than 150 Amazon reviews and also contributed to helping the book debut as a national bestseller (USA Today Bestseller List) and earn two repeat appearances on the list. The tour was so in-demand that an additional summer tour was added with another 8 stops upon the request and excitement of social media fans.
