Telling your story will change your life!
Memoir authors face a unique challenge: they must convey personal stories without experience or knowledge of the publishing industry. They need an advocate with professional-level writing, ghostwriting, editing, and publishing experience. As a ghostwriter with Mark Graham Communications over the past decade, I found that trusting relationships are the heart of effective ghostwriting.
My ghostwriting projects include:
🔷 A First Recon Marine/Field Surgeon’s memoir of the war in Afghanistan, PTSD, and systemic waste in American Healthcare
🔷 A Latinx Stripper’s memoir of alcoholism and sobriety in Las Vegas
🔷 An Indigenous woman’s memoir of meth addiction and mental illness in San Francisco
🔷 A VC’s memoir of Venture Capitalism over 30 years
🔷 A second VC’s business book encouraging women to pursue board positions
🔷 A Chinese-American woman’s memoir of criminal deviance followed by spiritual renewal in solitary confinement
🔷 A memoir about a family’s fight with breast cancer, highlighting responsibility and sisterhood
🔷 My current project is a Veteran's memoir of post-traumatic growth and the search for healthy father figures
🔷 And 10+ novels!
I am dedicated to telling the stories of authentic women with the narrative drive of a novel. As a disabled writer, I specialize in projects centered on transformation, trauma, addiction, motherhood, and sexual assault, in addition to chronic and mental illness.
Together, we will render scenes from your memory, drawing out sensory details and recreating dialogue. While conducting interviews, I will research, structure, and outline your project before we switch to narrative chapters. Our goal is to be readable, relatable, and clear! This therapeutic process asks you to re-live past events, leading your audience through the most palpable moments. And as I honor my clients’ privacy, they consistently express satisfaction and emotional catharsis in working with me.
When I was introduced to Carrie as a potential ghostwriter, immediately, we clicked. She got me. My voice. My passion. My experiences, even though she herself had never lived them. I am so grateful to Carrie for helping me find my voice and help guide me through a very emotional experience. I cannot speak highly enough of Carrie, not only of her skill as a writer, but also as a human, and a compassionate one at that.
