Overview
The best thing I can say about myself is that I love my job. I love stories, reading them and translating them. Over the years, I have translated some of my favorite books into Spanish for the traditional market, and now I search to expand my prospects and discover new voices and stories.
I have translated YA and adult books, mostly fantasy and science fiction, by authors like Nnedi Okorafor, Zen Cho, Becky Chambers, and Ava Reid. Nowadays I am translating more contemporary fiction, memoirs and horror. I have also translated more than 50 short stories from all around the world.
I really enjoy discovering new perspectives and, as a queer person, I am interested in LGBTQIA+ narratives, both for young and adult readers. I have translated books by trans authors such as Neon Yang, Elliot Page, and Akwaeke Emezi. I am well versed in nonbinaries narratives and language, having translated more than 10 books with nonbinary characters.
Two of my translations have been finalists of the Matilde Horne Award for the Best Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror Translation in Spanish. I am really proud of how my work is received both in the book community and the translation world.
I have two cats, a dog, and more books than I can count. I love coffee, the winter in the Mediterranean and dragons. This year I started taking art lessons and currently I am trying different techniques to see which is the one I love the most.
